Instant trooper alert: a polaroid story, the expo

Instant trooper alert!!!

Some years ago I met Elisabeth at a concert of Mulatu Astate.  Miss Ouni and her polaroid camera were standing in the front row.  From then on, almost every soulful concert or hiphop gig I went to.. I saw Elisabeth and her polaroid camera trying to find a way to make a snap shot of Qtip, Raphael Saadiq, Erykah Badu, The Roots, Sa Ra, Method man, and so on and so on. … and ... she has some amazing shots!!

You can find them on her website, but even better: you can find them on her very own expo!!!

A Polaroid Story: from October 11th until October 27th @ A&Gallery.
Are you attending?

Besides being a trooper with that polaroid camera, we must say.. this girl has taste in music!!   Check out 22tracks.com the Ouni takeover

PX 70 Color Shade Push! Instant Film

Eureka!

A little eureka-feeling is in the house! Remember I bought some new polaroid film (px 100 silver shade) from the Impossible Project.. the pictures were too blurry as the film is so sensitive to light and temperature.  However, after soms research on the net I found a way to reduce that blurriness.. Here it comes: shield the photograph from light  and keep it warm (read: wrap it in a sweater and sit on it).

This is the result:

PX-100 Silver Shade / First Flush

The impossible project have managed to resurrect the old factory and succeeded in creating an entirely new film. I was happy, till I saw the result. A few reports mentioned the instability of the film and indeed is incredibly sensitive to temperature and light. And here are my first overexposed polaroids with the new film.
