Wastelands Festival

Some hip wasteland venue, a blazing sun and an exclusive weird line-up.. sounds like a festival!  Street Gnar, Maria Minerva, Nick Nicely, Pictureplane and John Maus.  I wasn't very familiar with the music, but had a quite nice afternoon.

We play house Recordings: the label boss

Last Saturday I met up with Bart, better known as Red-D, the label boss of We Play House Recordings.  We picked that one summer day that it was just continually pouring rain to have a photo shoot …  drama in the sky!!  It was a real challenge to get some good shots in between the squalls.  Wind, dark skies, rain,…  a true battle.

I'm working on that shoot and hopefully I can share the result as soon as the sun comes out!!

Bonjour Couleur Café!

The summer music festival season started some weeks ago. On Friday the warm weather began to settle in, time for Couleur Café!! 

We could confidently use the word soulful to convey the first day of the festival: soulful temperatures, super soulful line-up, soulful food and a pretty soulful crowd! 

A sun soaked festival field served us an average performance of hiphop legend Nas, refressing cocktails, an amazing Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings bringing the pure soul and the diva of all diva's: miss Erykah Badu. 

One of Belgian's finest festivals!
