Kudos to Miranda July

Just call this number,
the number you see on your screen...

and say "macaroni."

Okay? That's all you have to do.

Just "macaroni"and hang up.
No questions asked
.

You gotta love the charming 'Me and You and Everyone we know', the directorial debut of Miranda July (2005).  An amazing film with a slightly awkward edge to it. Can't wait to see her second feature 'The Future' which has been premiered at the Sundance Festival and the Berlin Film Festival.

Miranda is not only a great filmmaker, she's also an artist and a writer.  Under the spell of her work I started reading 'No One Belongs Here More Than You'.  A stunning book, the first chapters caused me some lack of sleep.. but... got ... to finish it ...

In a July-esque way she jumps from one medium to another and created the online project:

Much kudos to the awesome Miranda July!

Long time I've checked out this blog and one my favourite films is featured! I absolutely adore "Me and everyone we know". The scene where the fishbowl is on that car, just love it. I bought the book, but I stopped reading the first pages. Really didn't like it... It's been 5 years, maybe I should give it another try. Thanks for the update on "the future",
